In a blind-spot safety upgrade of its horizontal-transport fleet, a major South China port group adopted zerow 77Ghz/24Ghz mmWave blind-spot warning, providing 360° perception for 50+ container trucks, reach stackers and forklifts.
Ports are harsh: strong metal reflection, frequent occlusion and mixed pedestrian/vehicle flow. zerow's front/rear-corner and side-view radar combo detects surrounding pedestrians, trailers and obstacles in real time, with graded sound-light alerts in cabin and outside, sharply cutting turning and reversing collisions.
The solution integrates with the port TOS, linking blind-spot alerts to vehicle operation status for safety-management data. After deployment, blind-spot-related near-misses and minor accidents at the terminal dropped markedly, proving mmWave radar reliability in complex port scenes.
